Following significantly growth in pupil numbers at Uffculme, the Local Authority are submitting a Statutory Proposal to permanently increase pupils numbers. The statutory consultation for this proposal will last four-weeks from 9th June 2022 to 7th July 2022, this is known as the “representation period”.

Whilst the proposed increase from 204 to 266 seems significant, we currently have 251 students on role across the three sites.  It is therefore only an increase of 15 students for Sept 2022. 

Over the summer holidays we will be working with the Local Authority to develop 3 additional classrooms at the Chamberlain site. This will support the growth in numbers and enable us to ensure that the environment meets the small group opportunities that we know our students need.
